Hearst played for the Cardinals for three seasons before being traded to the Cincinnati Bengals in 1996. However, Hearst was quickly traded again after just one season, this time to the San Francisco 49ers. It was with the 49ers where Hearst had the most success in his football career. In 1998, Hearst had a breakout season rushing for a career-high of 1,570 yards and 7 touchdowns, earning him both the NFL Comeback Player of the Year and earning a place in the Pro Bowl. Hearst went on to have several productive seasons with the 49ers before his career came to an end in 2004 after he suffered a devastating ankle injury in a playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.

In conclusion, Garrison Hearst was a talented American football player. His remarkable career trajectory saw him play for three different NFL teams over the course of 10 years, with the majority of his success achieved with the San Francisco 49ers. Hearst's excellent performance in the 1998 season saw him awarded the Comeback Player of the Year award, cementing his position as one of the NFL's top running backs of his time. Despite the injury ending his career earlier than it might have, Hearst will always be remembered as a star of the NFL. Read even more about Garrison Hearst at Wikipedia
