Gary Glick was an American football player born on January 26, 1930, in Artesia, New Mexico. He played as a safety in the National Football League (NFL) and American Football League (AFL) for ten seasons, from 1955 to 1964. Glick started his football career at Colorado State University, where he played both offense and defense. In 1956, Glick joined the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played for six seasons. He was a competent pass defender, intercepting 26 passes, including an NFL record of 12 interceptions in a single season in 1956. Glick's excellent performance in the 1956 season earned him the NFL's Rookie of the Year title.
