George Andrie Autographs
George Andrie was an American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys from 1962 to 1972. Andrie was born on April 20, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Marquette University. At Marquette, Andrie played football as a defensive lineman and was selected in the sixth round of the 1962 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
Andrie's career with the Dallas Cowboys was highly successful, and he played an essential role in the team's defense in their 1971 Super Bowl victory. Andrie played in 138 games for the Cowboys, recording 52 sacks, and he was selected to the Pro Bowl team five times. During his time with the team, Andrie became well-known for his toughness and determination on the field, and he was widely respected as one of the NFL's best defensive ends of the era.
After retiring from professional football, Andrie moved to North Texas and began a successful career in real estate. Andrie passed away on August 21, 2018, at the age of 78. Despite his passing, his contributions to American football, and the Dallas Cowboys organization, continue to be celebrated and recognized to this day.
