George Mira Autograph
George Mira was an American football quarterback who had a successful career in both college and professional football. Born on January 11, 1942, in Key West, Florida, Mira attended Miami Senior High School where he played in the position of a quarterback. He was chosen as Florida's high school player of the year in 1959 and later received scholarship offers from several universities. Mira chose to attend the University of Miami and was the starting quarterback for the Hurricanes from 1961 to 1963. More about George Mira

Mira's football career was marked by his athleticism, speed, and ability to read and react quickly to opposing defenses. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1985, and his jersey number 10 was retired by the University of Miami. Mira's life after football was not as successful, and he faced personal and financial difficulties.
