Glenn Carano Autographs
Glenn Carano is a former American football quarterback who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1977 to 1983. Born on July 10, 1955, in Redding, California, Carano attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he played college football. In 1977, he was drafted in the second round by the Dallas Cowboys.
Carano joined the Dallas Cowboys as a backup to starting quarterback Roger Staubach. During his time with the team, he played in 45 games, completing 81 of his 151 pass attempts for 976 yards and six touchdowns. His best season came in 1980, when he started five games for the Cowboys and threw for two touchdowns and 530 yards.
After his football career, Carano became a successful businessman in the Reno area. He owned a number of businesses, including a popular Italian restaurant and a casino. Carano was also a frequent guest on local sports radio shows, and he remained involved with the University of Nevada, Reno's football program. In 2002, he was inducted into the university's Hall of Fame. Today, Glenn Carano is remembered as one of the great quarterbacks to have played for the Dallas Cowboys.
