Glenn Foley Autographs
Glenn Foley was born on October 10, 1970, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He attended Cherry Hill West High School where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. Foley decided to pursue a career in football and committed to Boston College. During his time there, he was named the team MVP in his sophomore year and became the first quarterback in college history to pass for over 4,000 yards in a season.
Foley's professional career began in 1994 when the New York Jets drafted him in the seventh round. He played backup to Boomer Esiason and started a few games in his rookie season. Foley became the starting quarterback for the Jets in 1996 and threw for over 2,300 yards, leading the team to a 9-7 record. However, injuries and inconsistent performance led to his eventual departure from the Jets in 1999. Foley played for three more seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Seattle Seahawks again before retiring in 2002.
Although Foley's NFL career was not particularly noteworthy, he remains a popular figure in Boston College football history. In 2005, he was inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a college quarterback. Nowadays, Foley is a successful business owner and philanthropist, staying involved in the sport through coaching youth football and charity events.
