Jarrett played with the Clemson Tigers from 2011 to 2014, where he continued to excel as a defensive tackle. During his senior season, he recorded 73 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. He was named the Defensive Player of the Game in the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship, where he helped lead Clemson to a victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In 2015, the Atlanta Falcons selected Jarrett in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Since then, he has become a key player on their defensive line, consistently causing disruption for opposing offenses. In Super Bowl LI, Jarrett recorded three sacks against the New England Patriots, tying the record for the most sacks in a Super Bowl game. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2019 and was also named second-team All-Pro in 2019 and 2020.
