Hank Stram was an American Football coach and commentator. Born in Chicago in 1923, he grew up playing football at Purdue University and later went on to play professionally for the Buffalo Bills and the Chicago Cardinals. Stram spent over 17 years as a head coach, including his most famous stint with the Kansas City Chiefs. He led the team to two Super Bowls, including a victory in 1970 over the Minnesota Vikings. Stram's coaching style and innovations helped revolutionize the game, such as introducing the "flood" passing play and using more motion in his offensive formations. Stram’s excellence didn’t go unnoticed as he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

After retiring from coaching, Stram became a widely respected sports commentator.
