Jackson played for 16 seasons in the NFL, from 1968 to 1984, playing for several teams such as the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, and Seattle Seahawks. He was a talented wide receiver and his skill on the field was recognized with numerous accolades, setting a few records along the way. In 1973, he became the first player in NFL history to record 10 touchdown receptions in a season of 14 games or fewer. Jackson ended his career with 10,372 receiving yards, 76 touchdowns and 579 receptions.

Jackson's legacy in American football was cemented with his induction into the Black College Football Hall of Fame in 2013. After retiring, he went on to work as an assistant coach for various teams, including the New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings. He currently runs his own football camp and is involved in sports broadcasting. Harold Jackson remains a respected figure in the football world and his impressive career is etched into the history of the sport in America.
