J.J. Arrington Autographs
J.J. Arrington is a former American football player who played as a running back. He was born on September 3, 1983, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Arrington attended Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Florida, where he was a star athlete. During his senior year, he rushed for 2,287 yards and 27 touchdowns, which earned him All-State honors. In addition to football, Arrington also participated in track and field, excelling in the 100 meters and the long jump.
After graduating from high school, Arrington attended the College of the Canyons in California, where he played for two seasons for the Cougars. In his second year, he rushed for 2,018 yards and scored 15 touchdowns, which led to him being named the California Community College Player of the Year in 2002. Arrington then transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where he played for the Golden Bears from 2003 to 2004. In his senior year, he set a school record with 2,018 rushing yards and finished eighth in Heisman Trophy voting. Arrington was drafted in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
During his professional career, Arrington played for the Cardinals from 2005 to 2008, where he rushed for 654 yards and scored three touchdowns. He then signed with the Denver Broncos in 2009, but a knee injury forced him to sit out the entire season. Arrington then signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010 but was released before the season began. He last played professionally for the Sacramento Mountain Lions in the United Football League. Despite his short NFL career, Arrington's records and achievements at the college level have earned him recognition as one of the greatest running backs in the history of the University of California, Berkeley.
