James Hasty Autograph

James Hasty was born on August 12, 1965 in Denton, Texas. He attended the University of Washington where he played college football for the Huskies from 1984 to 1987. Hasty played as a defensive back and was known for his speed, agility, and ability to read opponents' movements. In 1988, Hasty was drafted by the New York Jets in the third round of the NFL Draft. He played for the Jets for seven seasons and was a key player on their defense. During his time with the team, he recorded 24 interceptions and was named to the Pro Bowl once. In 1995, Hasty signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played for five seasons before retiring in 2001. He finished his NFL career with 44 interceptions and was known as one of the best cornerbacks of his era.

After retiring from football, Hasty remained involved in the sport as a coach, working with various high school and college football programs. He was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 2002 and is remembered as one of the most talented and skilled defensive players in NFL history.
