Jeff Alm Autographs
Jeff Alm was an American football player who played at the National Football League as a defensive lineman. He was born on March 6, 1968, in Texas and attended Milby High School in Houston. Alm played at the University of Notre Dame from 1986 to 1989 and helped the team won a national championship in 1988. He was selected by the Houston Oilers in the 1990 NFL draft and played for the team until 1993.
During his NFL career, Jeff Alm quickly established himself as a reliable defender and helped the Houston Oilers reach the playoffs in 1991 and 1992. He played in the Super Bowl in 1993 but lost to the Buffalo Bills. Alm's NFL career came to a tragic end on December 14, 1993, when he was involved in a car accident that claimed his life. Alm had been driving under the influence of alcohol and crashed his car into a retaining wall. His passenger, childhood friend Sean P. Lynch, also died in the accident.
Jeff Alm's death shook the NFL community and served as a wake-up call for many players who struggled with addiction and mental health issues. Alm's former teammates established the Jeff Alm Scholarship Fund to honor his memory and provide scholarships to high school students in Houston. Today, his name is still remembered by football fans and people who knew him as a talented athlete who was taken too soon.
