Jeremy Kerley is a former American football wide receiver who had an impressive career in the NFL. He was born on November 8, 1988, in Hutto, Texas, and began his football career at Hutto High School. During his senior year, he was an All-District and All-Central Texas selection, playing both wide receiver and safety.
Kerley attended Texas Christian University, where he played college football for the TCU Horned Frogs from 2007 to 2010. He played in 50 games, finishing his college career with 2,375 receiving yards, 29 receiving touchdowns, and four rushing touchdowns. In his senior year, he was selected as the Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Year and was named as an All-American by various media outlets.
Kerley was drafted by the New York Jets in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played for the Jets for five seasons, from 2011 to 2015, and became one of the team's most reliable receivers. During his time with the Jets, he caught 221 passes for 2,729 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also returned punts and kicks, returning two punts for touchdowns during his career. After leaving the Jets, he played for the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, and Buffalo Bills before retiring in 2019. Overall, Jeremy Kerley had a successful career as an NFL wide receiver and will go down as one of the most skilled and reliable players on the field.
