Glanville is perhaps best known for his tenure as head coach of the Houston Oilers from 1985 to 1989. There, he was credited with introducing the "Gritz Blitz" defense, an aggressive and blitz-heavy scheme that helped the Oilers become one of the top defensive teams in the league. Glanville famously left a ticket for Elvis Presley at every home game, a nod to Presley's love of football and to the fans that would try to sneak into the Astrodome to watch the games. He left Houston in 1990 to become head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, where he coached for four seasons. After leaving coaching, he worked as an analyst for ESPN and CBS, and even dabbled in NASCAR as a team owner. In total, we tracked 262 items since 01/01/2008.
