Jerry Olsavsky Autographs
Jerry Olsavsky is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He was born on February 17, 1967, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up playing football for his high school team. In college, he played for the Penn State Nittany Lions and was a two-time All-American.
Olsavsky was drafted in the tenth round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played his entire professional career. He quickly became known for his hard hits and aggressive play, and in 1992 he recorded a career-high 88 tackles, helping the Steelers reach the playoffs. Olsavsky was also a key contributor on special teams, often serving as the captain of the unit.
After retiring from football in 1997, Olsavsky went into coaching and has since become a well-respected coach at the high school and college levels. He currently serves as the linebackers coach at his alma mater, Penn State, where he has helped develop several talented players. Despite no longer playing on the field, Olsavsky's impact on the game of football continues to be felt through his coaching and mentorship of young players.
