Joe Horn

Joe Horn was a professional American football player who was born on January 16, 1972, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was a wide receiver who played for four different teams during his 12-year career in the National Football League (NFL). Horn attended Itawamba Community College before transferring to the Moorehead State University where he played college football for two seasons. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft but only played for them for two seasons before being released. More about Joe Horn

Horn then played for the New Orleans Saints from 2000 until 2006, during which he became one of the team's top receivers. He was a fan favorite, known for his flamboyant touchdown celebrations, and he played in three Pro Bowls during his tenure with the Saints. In 2003, Horn had one of his best seasons, catching 94 passes for 1,399 yards and 11 touchdowns. In a game against the New York Giants that year, Horn famously made a cell phone call from the endzone, which resulted in a $30,000 fine from the NFL.

After leaving the Saints, Horn briefly played for the Atlanta Falcons and the Kansas City Chiefs before retiring in 2010. Throughout his career, Horn amassed 8,744 yards and 58 touchdowns, making him one of the most productive wide receivers of his time. He was known for his physicality, agility, and speed. Horn's contributions to the game led him to be inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2010.
