John-David Crow Autographs
John-David Crow is a former American football player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest halfbacks of his time. He was born on July 8, 1935, in Marion County, Texas, and grew up in a family of farmers. He attended Spring Hill High School and later enrolled at Texas A&M University, where he played football for the Aggies.
Crow had an illustrious college football career, winning the Heisman Trophy as the nation's top collegiate player in 1957. He was a three-time All-American and helped lead Texas A&M to a Southwest Conference championship in 1956. In his four years at Texas A&M, Crow rushed for 1,455 yards and 26 touchdowns, and he also played on the defensive side of the ball, intercepting eight passes.
After his college career, Crow went on to play professionally in the NFL. He was drafted second overall by the Chicago Cardinals in 1958 and played for them for three seasons. He later played for the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, retiring in 1968. In his NFL career, Crow rushed for 4,963 yards and 37 touchdowns and was selected to four Pro Bowls. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1976 and passed away on June 17, 2015, at the age of 79.
