John Reaves Autographs

John ReavesJohn Reaves was an American football quarterback who was born on March 2, 1950, in Anniston, Alabama. He started playing football at an early age and continued throughout high school. In 1969, he joined the University of Florida football team and played as a quarterback for four seasons. During his time at the university, he set several school records and earned the nickname "The Throwin' Swanny."
After graduating in 1972, John Reaves was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the NFL draft. Over his 10-year NFL career, he played for several teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Minnesota Vikings. Overall, he threw for 18,355 yards, 104 touchdowns, and 135 interceptions. In addition, he played in two Canadian Football League seasons for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes.
In 2011, John Reaves was inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame, recognizing his achievements as one of the best quarterbacks in school history. He also spent several years coaching high school and college football teams after his playing career ended. John Reaves died on August 1, 2017, at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most accomplished football players to have ever come from the state of Alabama.
