Johnny Morris Autographs
Johnny Morris was a successful American football player who played as a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears. He was born on March 5, 1935, in Niles, Michigan, and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He began his football career as a quarterback and defensive back in his high school team, and his outstanding performance earned him a scholarship to UCLA.
Morris played as a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears from 1958 to 1967, where he established himself as one of the team's star players. During his time with the Bears, he had several impressive seasons, and in 1964, he had a career-best of 93 receptions for 1,200 yards and ten touchdowns. He had a total of 5,059 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns throughout his career, and his contribution to the team's success earned him a spot in the Bears' Hall of Fame.
After retiring from the NFL, Morris became a sports journalist and commentator for WBBM-TV and WGN-TV. His excellent knowledge of the game and his experience as a player made him a respected figure in the sports media industry. He also authored several books on football, including Bears Memories: The Chicago Bears: The Glory Years of George Halas and the Chicago Bears, and Tales from the Chicago Bears Sideline. Johnny Morris passed away on September 5, 2018, leaving behind a legacy as one of the great wide receivers in the history of the NFL.
