Justin King Autographs
Justin King is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) and for the Penn State Nittany Lions in college. Born on April 22, 1987, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, King started playing American football early in his childhood. During his time at Pittsburgh's Gateway High School, King was a highly-touted prospect, earning a five-star ranking and the top cornerback in the United States in 2005.
However, it was at Penn State where King earned his reputation as a talented college football player. During his three-year career at Penn State, King earned 126 tackles, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles. In 2007, he was named a First-Team All-Big Ten Conference player, and he was widely expected to be a high draft pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. True to expectations, King was drafted in the 4th round by the St. Louis Rams that year, where he played for three seasons before injuries forced him into early retirement. His professional career saw him play in 23 games, recording 55 tackles, and two passes defended, but was ultimately cut short due to injuries.
Despite his curtailed NFL career, King is remembered as a talented cornerback who had the potential to be a star. After his retirement, King made a difference in youth development, becoming a mentor to young athletes in the state of Pennsylvania, and creating opportunities for success off the field. King aims to instill a winning mentality in the next generation of athletes by establishing an environment of discipline, dedication, and determination.
