Keenan McCardell was born on January 6, 1970, in Houston, Texas, and had a successful college football career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After going undrafted in the 1991 NFL Draft, McCardell signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins but was released during his rookie year. McCardell's most notable achievements came during his time with the Jaguars and Buccaneers. He played for Jacksonville from 1996 to 2001, where he teamed up with Jimmy Smith to form one of the most dynamic wide receivers duos in NFL history. During his six seasons with the Jaguars, McCardell recorded 6,393 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns.
