Ken Dilger Autographs
Ken Dilger is a former American football player who was born on February 3, 1971, in Rockville, Indiana. Dilger attended the University of Illinois, where he played college football as a tight end. During his college career, Dilger was an outstanding receiver and a formidable blocker, and he became a consensus All-American in his senior year. Dilger was also a member of the Illinois track team and participated in the high jump event.
After his college career, Dilger signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 1995 as a third-round pick in the NFL Draft. Dilger had a successful career with the Colts, where he played for seven seasons as their starting tight end. Dilger was a reliable receiver with great hands and excellent route running skills. Furthermore, he was a tenacious blocker and was an important contributor to the Colts' potent offense during his tenure. Dilger helped lead the Colts to four playoff appearances, including an AFC Championship game appearance in 2003.
Dilger was later traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002, where he played for two seasons. While with the Buccaneers, Dilger continued to excel as a tight end and helped the team win Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003. Dilger retired from football after the 2005 season, having played in 166 games and recorded over 5,000 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns. Dilger's contributions to American football were significant, and he remains a beloved figure in the sport's history.
