Kolby Smith Autographs
Kolby Smith is a retired American football running back who played five seasons in the NFL. Born on March 7, 1984, in Tallahassee, Florida, Smith attended Rickards High School, where he was a standout athlete in football, basketball, and track. He played college football at the University of Louisville, where he set a school record with 15 career 100-yard rushing games. Smith was selected in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his rookie season, Smith played in 12 games, starting two, and rushed for 407 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 70 yards and one touchdown. In 2008, Smith became the Chiefs' starting running back after Larry Johnson was suspended for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. He played in 11 games, rushed for 387 yards and three touchdowns, and caught 18 passes for 107 yards. However, Smith suffered a knee injury late in the season and missed the final five games.
Smith was released by the Chiefs in 2010 and played one season with the Denver Broncos before retiring from football. In his five-year NFL career, Smith played in 36 games, rushed for 892 yards and six touchdowns, and caught 45 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns. He was a hard-nosed runner who was known for his toughness and work ethic. Despite his short career, Smith left a lasting impact on the football world and will always be remembered as a dedicated player who gave his all on the field.
