L.C. Greenwood was an American football defensive end who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1969 to 1981. He was born on September 8, 1946 in Canton, Mississippi and passed away on September 29, 2013. Greenwood was a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time Super Bowl champion with the Steelers. Greenwood was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 10th round of the 1969 NFL Draft. He quickly made a name for himself as a dominant defensive end, helping the Steelers win four Super Bowls in six years. Greenwood was known for his intimidating presence on the field and his trademark gold-colored shoes, which he wore to honor his wife's alma mater, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Despite his impressive career and numerous accolades, Greenwood has yet to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, his impact on the game of football cannot be denied.
