Larry Kinnebrew was born on July 31, 1955, in St. Augustine, Florida, USA. He was an American football player who played in the National Football League (NFL) as a fullback from 1980 to 1988. Kinnebrew attended the University of Tennessee, where he played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers from 1973 to 1976. In 1980, Kinnebrew was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the NFL Draft. He quickly became known for his powerful running style, earning him the nickname "The Tank." Kinnebrew was a vital member of the Bengals team that went to the Super Bowl in 1981 and 1988, playing in both games as the team's starting fullback. His most memorable performance was in the 1988 AFC Championship game when he rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bengals to a victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Kinnebrew retired from football at the end of the 1988 season, ending his career with 3,356 rushing yards, 65 touchdowns and 95 receptions for 747 yards. He remains one of the Bengals' all-time leading rushers and touchdown scorers. After his football career, Kinnebrew was inducted into the University of Tennessee Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005, and in 2019, he was named one of the "50 Greatest Bengals" of all time by the Cincinnati Bengals organization.
