Lee Folkins Autographs
Lee Folkins was a prominent figure in American football, playing as a tight end for various teams in NFL. Born in 1939 in Karlsruhe, North Dakota, Folkins grew up in a family of athletic background. He attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he played as a fullback and offensive end. In 1962, he was picked up by the Dallas Cowboys in the 10th round of the NFL draft. He showed great potential and was quickly moved to tight end position by the Cowboys, where he established himself as a solid force in the team's offense.
Folkins spent seven seasons with the Cowboys from 1962 to 1968, where his leadership and athleticism proved vital in the team's success. He played in two NFL championship games, the first one in 1966 and the second one in 1967. In 1969, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he earned his third Pro Bowl selection. He suffered a career-ending injury in 1971, following which he retired from professional football. Despite his relatively short career, Folkins is remembered as one of the finest tight ends of his era.
After retiring from football, Folkins worked as an entrepreneur in various capacities. He owned a cattle ranch in Colorado, worked in the oil drilling business, and was heavily involved in real estate development. He also served on the board of directors of the Northern Colorado Alumni Association and the University of Northern Colorado Foundation. In 1993, Folkins was inducted into the University of Northern Colorado Hall of Fame for his significant contribution to the sport of football. Today, he is remembered as a legend in American football and an inspiration to many aspiring athletes.
