Levon Kirkland is a former American football player who played linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. Born on February 17, 1969 in Lamar, South Carolina, Kirkland attended Clemson University, where he was a standout player for the Clemson Tigers football team. During his NFL career, Kirkland played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1992 to 2000, the Seattle Seahawks in 2001, and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2002. He was known for his impressive size and speed, and was one of the most feared linebackers in the game. Over the course of his career, Kirkland amassed 1,029 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 11 interceptions. He was selected to the Pro Bowl twice, in 1996 and 1997, and was named first-team All-Pro in 1996.
