Logan Thomas was born on July 1, 1991, in Lynchburg, Virginia, and grew up playing football from a young age. He was a standout quarterback at Brookville High School, where he threw for over 2,500 yards and 33 touchdowns during his senior season. Thomas was recruited by several Division I football programs and ultimately chose to attend Virginia Tech.
During his college career, Thomas became one of the best quarterbacks in Virginia Tech history. He started all 13 games as a redshirt freshman and threw for over 3,000 yards and 19 touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he led the team to an 11-3 record and a Sugar Bowl appearance. Thomas finished his college career with 9,003 passing yards, 53 touchdowns, and 39 interceptions, as well as 1,359 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns.
After college, Logan Thomas was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played for the Cardinals for two seasons before being signed by the Buffalo Bills in 2016. Thomas then spent two more seasons with the Detroit Lions before signing with the Washington Football Team in 2020. During the 2020 season, Thomas emerged as a key player for Washington and helped the team win the NFC East division. He finished the season with 72 receptions for 670 yards and six touchdowns, cementing his position as a reliable tight end in the NFL.
