Marc Wilson was born on February 15, 1957, in Los Angeles, California. He went on to become a highly successful American football quarterback, playing for the Brigham Young Cougars in college and then joining the NFL with the Oakland Raiders. Wilson was an exceptional athlete from an early age and he excelled in many sports, including football, basketball, and baseball. His skills on the field quickly caught the attention of scouts, and he soon became one of the top prospects in the country.
Wilson's football career began in earnest when he joined the Brigham Young University Cougars in 1977. He quickly established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in college football, setting numerous records and leading the Cougars to a national championship in 1984. His success at the college level earned him a place in the NFL, where he was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 1980 draft by the Oakland Raiders.
With the Raiders, Wilson continued to excel and became one of the top quarterbacks in the league. He was known for his strong arm and his ability to read defenses, and he led the Raiders to several playoff appearances over the course of his career. Though he was plagued by injuries at times, Wilson remained one of the most respected quarterbacks in the game and continued to have a successful career both on and off the field. He retired from football in 1990, but his legacy as one of the greats of the game lives on to this day.
