Marcell Ateman is a professional American football wide receiver. He was born on September 16, 1994, in Wylie, Texas. Ateman attended Wylie East High School, where he played football as a wide receiver. During his senior year, he recorded 81 receptions for 1,169 yards and 15 touchdowns, earning himself the District 10-4A Offensive Player of the Year.
After graduating high school, Ateman went on to play college football at Oklahoma State University. During his time with the Cowboys, he played in 50 games and recorded 146 receptions for 2,466 yards and 13 touchdowns.
In 2018, Ateman was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. He played in seven games during his rookie season, recording 15 receptions for 154 yards. Ateman continued to play for the Raiders in the 2019 season, playing in six games and recording five receptions for 62 yards. Although he has not seen much playing time in the NFL, Ateman's potential as a receiver has been praised by his coaches and fans, and many are looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish in the future.
