Marcus Maye is an American football player who currently plays as a safety for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 9, 1993, in Melbourne, Florida, and attended high school at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. During his college career, Maye played in 37 games and recorded 205 tackles, five interceptions, and one touchdown. He was named to the All-SEC team in his senior year and was projected to be a top draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The New York Jets selected him in the second round, 39th overall, and signed him to a four-year contract. In his rookie season, he played in all 16 games and recorded 76 tackles, two interceptions, and four passes defended.
