Mark Andrews is an accomplished American football player who currently plays as a tight end for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on September 6, 1996 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and attended Desert Mountain High School where he first began playing football. Andrews was a standout player in high school, earning an impressive 81 receptions for 1,494 yards and 21 touchdowns in his senior year, which helped him earn a football scholarship to the University of Oklahoma.
During his college career, Andrews continued to impress as he quickly emerged as one of the most talented tight ends in the country. He played for the Oklahoma Sooners from 2015-2017, totaling 112 receptions for 1,765 yards and 22 touchdowns over his three-year college career. His outstanding performances earned him a consensus All-American selection in 2017, and he was also awarded the John Mackey Award, which is given annually to the best tight end in college football.
In the 2018 NFL Draft, Andrews was selected as the 86th pick by the Baltimore Ravens. Since joining the team, he has continued to showcase his talent and has become a vital part of the Ravens offense. In his rookie year, he had an impressive 34 receptions for 552 yards and three touchdowns. The following year, he became the first Ravens tight end since Todd Heap in 2005 to record over 700 receiving yards. Andrews has proven to be a dynamic player with excellent hands, speed, and agility, making him one of the most exciting players to watch in the NFL.
