Mark Malone Autographs
Mark Malone is a former NFL quarterback who spent over a decade in the league playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, and New York Jets. He was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, in 1958, and attended the University of Arizona where he played college football. Malone was drafted in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1980 and immediately became the backup quarterback to Terry Bradshaw, who would soon retire.
In 1984, Malone became the starting quarterback for the Steelers and led them to the AFC Championship game, earning Pro Bowl honors that season. He continued to improve over the next two years, passing for over 3,000 yards in both seasons and leading the Steelers to the playoffs. However, injuries and inconsistent play eventually led to Malone being replaced as the starter by Bubby Brister in 1988. He then spent two seasons as a backup with the Chargers before finishing his career with the Jets in 1993.
Aside from his NFL career, Malone has also worked as an analyst and commentator for various sports networks, including CBS, ESPN, and NBC. He has been involved in various charities and community organizations, including the United Way and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Overall, Mark Malone is remembered as a talented quarterback who helped lead the Steelers to several successful seasons during the 1980s, and as a respected figure in the world of sports broadcasting.
