He was born on January 10, 1989 in Washington, D.C. and attended Ballou High School where he was a standout player on the football team. Austin then went on to play college football at the University of North Carolina where he received All-ACC accolades during his junior year.
In 2011, Marvin Austin was drafted by the New York Giants in the second round of the NFL draft. He spent two seasons with the Giants before he was waived in 2013. Austin went on to play for the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, and the Denver Broncos before being released by the latter in 2016. Despite not having a stellar NFL career, Austin was known for his physicality on the field and his ability to disrupt opponents' offensive plays with his impressive skills as a defensive lineman.
After announcing his retirement from football in 2017, Marvin Austin has continued to be active in the sports world. He now works as a sports performance trainer, helping athletes develop their skills and strength.
