Maxie Baughan, born on August 3, 1938, is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons from 1960 to 1971. Baughan started his football career at Georgia Tech and was named the South's Most Valuable Player in 1958. Baughan played for the Eagles for seven seasons, from 1960 to 1965 and again in 1969. He established himself as one of the best linebackers in the league during his time in Philadelphia, earning six consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 1961 to 1966. Baughan was a dominant force on the field and helped lead the Eagles to their first NFL championship in 1960.
