Michael Ford is a former American football running back who played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU) and professionally for the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Ford was born on April 12, 1990, in Leesville, Louisiana. Growing up, he played high school football at Leesville High School, where he rushed for more than 1,500 yards and scored 23 touchdowns as a junior in 2007, earning All-State honors. In 2013, Ford was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. He spent most of that season on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster for the final two games. The following year, he played in seven games for the Bears, rushing for 23 yards on eight carries. In 2015, he was signed by the Miami Dolphins, but he was waived later that season. Ford never played in the NFL again and officially retired in 2016. Despite not having the most remarkable professional career, Michael Ford stands as an example of a talented athlete who excelled in college football and had a chance to play at the highest level of the sport.
