Michael McCrary Autographs
Michael McCrary is a former American football player who played as a defensive end for three teams in the National Football League (NFL) from 1993 to 2002. McCrary was born on July 7, 1970, in Berlin, Germany, where his father was serving in the United States Army. He grew up in Mississippi and played college football at Wake Forest University, where he led the Demon Deacons in sacks during his senior year.
McCrary was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round (97th overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft. He quickly made an impact on the team, earning a starting position and setting a franchise rookie record for sacks with 8.5. McCrary played for the Seahawks for four seasons before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 1997. It was with the Ravens that McCrary had his most successful years, earning three Pro Bowl selections and being named to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 1990s. McCrary finished his NFL career with the San Diego Chargers in 2002, where he played in 14 games and tallied three sacks.
After retiring from football, McCrary remained involved in the sport through coaching and broadcasting. He founded the Michael McCrary Foundation, which supports various charities and organizations in Baltimore and his home state of Mississippi. In recognition of his football career, McCrary was inducted into the Wake Forest University Sports Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor in 2004.
