Mike Golic Autographs
Mike Golic was born on December 12, 1962, in Willowick, Ohio. He was a versatile athlete in high school, playing football as a linebacker, and wrestling as a heavyweight. After graduating from high school, he went on to attend the University of Notre Dame on a football scholarship, where he played as a defensive tackle for four years. During his time at Notre Dame, Golic earned various accolades, such as being named an All-American player in his senior year.
After college, Golic was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the 10th round of the 1985 NFL Draft. However, he never played for the Oilers and instead signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played for seven seasons from 1987 to 1992. He was known for his quickness and agility on the field, and his hard-hitting style of play made him a fan favorite. Golic's NFL career was cut short in 1993, when he suffered a severe knee injury that forced him to retire from professional football.
Since retiring from his football career, Golic has pursued a career as a sports broadcaster. He co-hosted the nationally syndicated radio show "Mike & Mike" with Mike Greenberg for 17 years, and later hosted his own radio show, "Golic and Wingo." Golic's passion for football has remained evident throughout his broadcasting career, as he continues to provide in-depth analysis and commentary on the sport he loves. His knowledge and expertise have earned him a reputation as one of the most respected voices in the world of sports broadcasting.
