Mike Kruczek Autographs
Mike Kruczek is a former American football player and coach. He was born on September 24, 1953, in Erie, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Orlando, Florida. Kruczek began his football career as a quarterback for Bishop Moore High School in Orlando. He went on to play college football at Boston College, where he set several school records and earned a degree in marketing.
Kruczek was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 1976 NFL Draft. He served as a backup to Terry Bradshaw and played in four games during the 1976 and 1978 seasons. After four seasons in the NFL, Kruczek played in the Canadian Football League for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He retired from playing in 1983 and began his coaching career the following year.
Kruczek spent over 30 years as a football coach, including several seasons in the NFL, Arena Football League, and NCAA Division I college football. He is best known for his tenure as the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for the University of Central Florida. Kruczek was part of the coaching staff that led UCF to its first-ever bowl game victory, the 2010 Liberty Bowl. He retired in 2011 and currently resides in Orlando.
