Mike Mamula Autographs
Mike Mamula was an American football player who played in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons as a linebacker and defensive end. He was born on August 14, 1973, in Lackawanna, New York. Mamula attended Lackawanna High School where he played as a defensive end and linebacker. He then went on to play college football for Boston College and was a standout player.
Mamula was selected 7th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1995 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles for five seasons from 1995 to 1999, recording 209 tackles, 31.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. Mamula was known for his impressive pass-rushing abilities and was regarded as one of the best linebackers in the league during his time in Philadelphia. His best season came in 1997 when he recorded 8.5 sacks and 64 tackles.
Mamula retired from the NFL in 2000 after playing one season for the Oakland Raiders. Despite his successful NFL career, Mamula is best known for his performance at the NFL Combine in 1995. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds, a remarkable feat for a linebacker. This, along with his other combine performances, led to his selection in the top 10 of the draft. Mamula's career may have been overshadowed by his combine performance, but he was still an impressive player who left his mark on the NFL.
