Mike McCoy Autographs
Mike McCoy is a former American football head coach and quarterback who played at California State University, Long Beach. McCoy later embarked on a coaching career that spanned over two decades, with the bulk of his success coming from his time as an NFL coach. Before coaching, he served as a backup quarterback for the Packers, the 49ers during the Super Bowl-winning season of 1994, and the Panthers.
In 2008, McCoy became the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. Under his leadership, the team reached the playoffs twice and reached Super Bowl XLVIII. After four seasons with the Broncos, he became the head coach of the San Diego Chargers in 2013. In his first season as head coach, McCoy led the Chargers to the playoffs, where they won their first postseason game in five years. However, after struggling to win games in the following seasons, McCoy was fired after the 2016 season.
McCoy was then hired as the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos again in 2017. In his second stint, he played a crucial role in developing young quarterbacks like Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch. However, the team struggled to win games and missed the playoffs in both seasons that McCoy was the offensive coordinator. After a short stint with the Arizona Cardinals as an offensive coordinator, McCoy retired from coaching in 2019. Overall, McCoy's coaching career spanned over 20 years and was marked by several successes, particularly in his early years with the Denver Broncos.
