Mike Pitts Autographs
Mike Pitts is a former professional American football player who played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on October 29, 1960, in Birmingham, Alabama. Pitts played his college football career at the University of Alabama, where he was a standout defensive tackle for the Crimson Tide. He was selected in the seventh round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons, where he would play three seasons before moving on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Indianapolis Colts.
Throughout his career, Pitts was known for his ability to rush the quarterback and disrupt the opposing team's passing game. He recorded a career-high of 11 sacks in 1984 with the Falcons and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1989 during his time with the Patriots. Pitts was a key member of the Patriots' defense that helped them reach Super Bowl XX in 1986, where they ultimately lost to the Chicago Bears. He played his final NFL season with the Colts in 1993 before retiring from professional football.
After retiring, Pitts would stay heavily involved in football, working as a college and high school coach for several years. Additionally, Pitts had a brief stint as a sports broadcaster and analyst, providing commentary on both college and professional football games. Today, Pitts continues to be a valued member of the football community and remains highly respected among his peers for his dedication to the sport.
