Mike Prior Autographs
Mike Prior was born on September 2, 1963, in East St. Louis, Illinois. He is a former professional American football player who played safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Indianapolis Colts. His football career started during his college days at the University of Illinois, where he was one of the standout players. Prior was well-known for his excellent speed, agility, and strong work ethic.
In 1985, Mike Prior was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a second-round pick. During his time with the Bucs, he became a starter in the secondary and quickly established himself as one of the most dependable players on the team. In 1989, he led the league in interceptions with eight and earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. After six seasons with the Buccaneers, Prior moved on to play for the Indianapolis Colts, where he spent two more seasons before retiring from professional football in 1993.
Mike Prior's contribution to American football has been tremendous. During his professional career, he recorded eight interceptions, four fumble recoveries, and two defensive touchdowns. He was also known for his outstanding special teams play. In 2013, he was inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame, recognizing his collegiate and NFL accomplishments. Today, Prior works as a youth football coach and continues to inspire young athletes to pursue their dreams in the sport.
