Mosi Tatupu Autographs
Mosi Tatupu, born on April 26, 1955, in American Samoa, was a former American football fullback who played for New England Patriots from 1978 to 1990. He had a long and successful career in Football and was known for his impressive punt and kickoff returns.
Tatupu was an undersized player, standing just 5 ft 11 in, and weighing 217 lb, yet he made up for his small stature with his quickness and agility on the field. He was a reliable receiver and a skillful runner, and his blocking was top-notch. At his peak, he was almost unstoppable in breaking through tackles and making crucial plays, which helped him earn his place on the Pro Bowl roster in 1986.
Tatupu's love for football began in high school in Peabody, Massachusetts, where he excelled as a two-way player. He played college football at the University of Southern California, where he was a two-time All-America selection. After being drafted by the Patriots in the 8th round of the 1978 NFL Draft, Tatupu went on to become one of the most beloved players in the franchise history, scoring 36 touchdowns and over 2,500 rushing yards in his 13-year career. He passed away in 2010 after suffering complications from respiratory arrest. Tatupu is fondly remembered as a hardworking, dedicated player who left an indelible mark on American football.
