Najeh Davenport Autographs
Najeh Davenport was a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 2002 to 2008. Born on February 8, 1979 in Raleigh, North Carolina, Davenport grew up in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Central High School. He received a football scholarship to the University of Miami, where he played college football for four years as a backup to future NFL stars Clinton Portis and Frank Gore.
Davenport was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Packers, serving as a backup to Ahman Green and contributing mainly on special teams. In 2005, he had his best season for the Packers, rushing for 438 yards and scoring four touchdowns. In 2006, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a free agent and served as a backup to Willie Parker. He played two seasons with the Steelers, winning a Super Bowl ring in 2006. He finished his NFL career with stints with the Indianapolis Colts and the San Francisco 49ers.
Off the field, Davenport made headlines in 2002 when he was accused of breaking into a woman's dorm room at Barry University in Miami and defecating in her laundry basket. He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief, but reached a plea deal and was ordered to perform community service. He later became involved in various charitable causes and was recognized for his philanthropic work by the NFL Players Association. Since retiring from football, Davenport has worked as a personal trainer and motivational speaker.
