Nasir Adderley is a professional American Football player who currently plays as a safety for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on May 31, 1997, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Adderley attended Delaware Valley Charter High School and played football throughout his high school career. He was a standout player and was ranked as the top safety in Pennsylvania by ESPN. He had multiple college scholarship offers and eventually committed to playing at the University of Delaware. Adderley started his college football career with the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens in 2015 playing as a cornerback. In his sophomore season, he made 48 tackles, five interceptions, and three pass breakups, which earned him a spot on the All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) First Team. Adderley continued to shine in his junior season, where he registered a career-high 78 tackles, seven pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. As a senior, he was named a team captain and led the team with four interceptions and seven pass breakups. After his senior year, Adderley was invited to several college all-star games and was projected to be a mid-round draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
