He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) from 1962 to 1976. Buoniconti had a remarkable football career that lasted for 14 seasons, during which he played for two teams, namely, the Boston Patriots and the Miami Dolphins. Buoniconti was a tremendous linebacker, known for his toughness, agility, and his ability to make game-changing defensive plays. He was a five-time AFL All-Star and was chosen for the Pro Bowl six times. Buoniconti played in three Super Bowls with the Miami Dolphins, winning two of them, in 1973 and 1974.
