Orleans Darkwa Autographs
Orleans Darkwa is a former American football running back who played for the Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was born on February 28, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee, and attended high school at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In high school, Darkwa was an exceptional athlete as he participated in track and field and played football, where he rushed for over 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns during his tenure.
After high school, Darkwa attended Tulane University, where he continued his football career. During his four-year tenure, he played in 47 games, rushed for over 2,000 yards, and scored 39 touchdowns. Darkwa's impressive college stats led to him being signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2014. However, he only played three games for the Dolphins before being released in December of the same year.
Darkwa was then picked up by the New York Giants in 2014 but spent most of the season on the practice squad. In 2017, he gained his first career start and rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown. He later became the Giants' starting running back and finished the season with 751 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Despite his success with the Giants, Darkwa wasn't re-signed after the 2017 season and was later picked up by the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 but suffered a serious injury during training camp, leading to him being placed on injured reserve. Ultimately, in May 2019, Orleans Darkwa announced his retirement from football due to a nagging Achilles injury.
