Pat Fischer is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He was born on January 28, 1940, in St. Edward, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska, where he played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers team. He was then drafted in the 17th round of the 1961 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Fischer played for the St. Louis Cardinals for nine seasons from 1961 to 1969. He was then traded to the Washington Redskins in 1970, where he played for another eight seasons.
