Pat Haden is a former professional American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1976 to 1981. Born on January 23, 1953, in Westbury, New York, Haden began his football career in high school and went on to play for the University of Southern California's (USC) Trojans from 1972 to 1974. Following his college career, Haden was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round of the 1975 NFL Draft. Haden played for the Rams from 1976 to 1981, earning two Pro Bowl selections in 1977 and 1980. In his first season with the Rams, Haden led the team to a 10-3-1 record, earning the NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. In 1979, Haden led the Rams to their first Super Bowl appearance, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Haden retired from the NFL in 1982, finishing his career with 80 touchdown passes, 7,176 passing yards, and a passer rating of 75.3.

After retiring from the NFL, Haden pursued a career in broadcasting, serving as a college football analyst for CBS and later becoming the athletic director at USC from 2010 to 2016. Throughout his career, Haden remained dedicated to promoting integrity and sportsmanship in football, both on and off the field.
